Enticing Toddler Snack ideas!
Creative Snacking for your little one
Most of us have been home for quite some time with social distancing guidelines in place. Here are some creative, enticing toddler snack ideas that will surely get your little one to eat. I have certainly been one TIRED momma, but if you can muster up some energy- give one of these a try! Veggie roll ups, teddy party mix, bacon & broccoli egg muffins or peanut butter graham crackers!
Veggie Roll Ups
This is one simple recipe that will certainly captivate your toddler. In fact, he/she may want to make the dish themselves!
You can add anything else to your toddlers desire!
Spread some hummus on an open-faced tortilla wrap. Add sliced cucumbers and peppers! Roll up the tortilla like a burrito and slice into pieces. It’s that simple. This is a great snack for your toddler to engage in by spreading the hummus on independently. Toddlers love to help and feel valued. They will love adding the colorful veggies, and MOMS will love when they dive in and eat! This is one toddler snack idea for the win!
Teddy Party Mix
Who says snacking can’t be semi-sweet? This party mix will LIGHT up your toddlers face for sure. He/she may even want to create their own small party mix bowl.
- Teddy grahams
- Frozen sliced banana with drizzled peanut butter
- Pretzels with drizzled peanut butter
- Sliced apples
This was one banana, sliced thin. Place the bananas and pretzels on parchment paper on a plate. In a separate bowl, melt about 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. Once melted, stir and drizzle over the pretzels and bananas. Put in the freezer for at least one hour.
This bowl of fun can be refrigerated in Tupperware when all combined! If you know me, you know I can’t eliminate my sweet tooth. My toddler is following suit and surely thanked me for this sweet treat!
Bacon & Broccoli Egg Muffins
Yes, I know. Is this a snack? This could be a separate breakfast post all in itself. However, these could be both a breakfast and a snack! There are MANY variations of egg muffins. Our favorite includes bacon and broccoli, but quite frankly you can incorporate anything!
- 12 eggs
- Cooked bacon & broccoli (or any addition of choice)
- 1/2 cup of shredded cheese of choice
Scramble the eggs well in a large bowl. Chop your ingredients separately (bacon and broccoli). Add the chopped additions to the eggs. Mix well. Salt & pepper to taste if desired. Grease a 12 count muffin pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
This easy snack has a little bit of chocolate, but I know I’m happy when my son gets some added protein from peanut butter! Plus, he absolutely loves creating this special dessert himself! Too easy!
- Graham Crackers
